This book gave me information on the reaction to Okinawa and why the Americans dropped the bombs. This also informed me about the invasion plans, the blast and devastation of Hiroshima. This also tells me about the Potsdam Conference, the Manhattan Project and about the nuclear arms race after the bombs.

This book provided arguments toward the dropping of the atomic bombs and it gives me a time line of events which allowed me to piece together events leading up to the decision. This book also gave me information important to the bombings and events that caused Nagasaki to be chosen. It also provided me with numbers of casualities for Iwo Jima, Okinawa and other firebombing totals.
